Development Coordinator
Position Summary:
Responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of the annual sustainable funding plan including planning and executing events. Also, the development coordinator will keep track of charitable gifts to the organization including maintaining and updating the fundraising database. Promote a positive image for the Center both internally and externally.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility for donor development and cultivation. Responsible for building relationships and creating sustainable funding. Coordinate fund development activities with the CFH Communications and Development Officer.
- Manage and produce an Annual "Ask Event" to include all interested donors.
- Coordinate regular tours of CFH facilities, to build awareness for donors.
- Develop, discover, and collaborate with various local organizations and community events to build awareness of the CFH mission and locations.
- Strategically implement, build and maintain a donor database. Accurately provide required reporting to track goal achievements, sustainability, donor contacts and community impact.
- Responsible for cultivating relationships with donors through regular and follow-up contacts.
- Plan and manage cultivation events to invite donors throughout the year.
- Coordinates meetings with members of the cultivation team; including board members, staff and volunteers.
- Maintain electronic and hard copy donor files.
- Respond to queries, electronic or otherwise, from prospective donors.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in organization-wide planning activities.
- All other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree; preferably in public health, marketing, communication, or related program required. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
Licensure

Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible fund development, public relations and/or marketing experience preferred.
- Knowledge, understanding and experience in key areas of stewardship.
- Experience working within a nonprofit organization preferred.
- Proven experience in meeting monetary fundraising goals preferred.
- Previous experience utilizing Benevon's sustainable fundraising model preferred.
Skills
- Excellent people skills and detail oriented.
- Strong computer skills with proficiencies in Microsoft Office and data base applications. Experience with Etapestry preferred.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks. Strong project management skills.
