We currently have a Registered Dietitian position open. This is a full-time, salary position.

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing nutrition education, diet support and assistance to CFH patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate the health and dietary needs of patients using a variety of methods including in-person, by phone, virtual and referrals.
• Decrease health disparities (e.g. social determinants of health) for patients of all ages through the provision of medical nutrition therapy (MNT), nutrition education and lifestyle counseling.
• Engage, motivate and counsel a diverse population of individuals and groups at all stages of readiness, using techniques such a motivational interviewing and trauma informed care.
• Communicate clearly and effectively by explaining eating plans and complex medical terms in plain language.
• Develop meal plans, taking both cost and patients' preferences into account.
• Provide follow-up MNT, diet and lifestyle interventions, modifying treatment plans as needed to promote disease management, disease prevention, and wellness.
• Maintain knowledge of the latest nutritional science research.
• Be caring and empathetic when helping clients address dietary issues and any related emotions.
• Assume maximum application of Center services to patients by making referrals within the Center, collaborating with providers to determine best course of treatment, and utilizing best practices to positively impact patient outcomes.
• Educate and mentor interns, students, and employees in the provision of nutrition services.
• Represent the Center in workgroups, committees or teams, as assigned.
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work practices and instructions.

Education/Training/Experience:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist as delineated by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
